Well, that's not really true, either imo. A lot of terrorists are terrorists because they've been indoctrinated to believe certain groups/cultures/countries etc are the enemy, and from there have had hatred, violence and promise of ultimate reward for their actions, burned into them from a young age.
I could be wrong, because I'm not very educated on the subject. But I would imagine that a lot of terrorists, if raised in normal settings without extremist teachings, would likely grow up to be normal people.
EDIT: If I'm interperating your post correctly, you're suggesting that terrorists are evil people, that have something wrong with them chemically or whatever, and use extremism and terrorism as a way to harm people, and that if they weren't indoctrinated from a young age and weren't part of a religion they would still do terrible things? If so, I definitly disagree.
