I actually don't mind Stock. I think he has improved a lot and seems to be showing more personality and composure on television now. Weekes is a pleasant enough guy, but is just too rigid and business-like. Friedman is just weird to me though especially when he is interviewing players face-to-face. I could never stand Healy though, but I think it's just the way it is now that every panel has to have one jerk.
On his actual statement regarding Datsyuk, the only defense I would give Healy is that maybe he was trying too hard to emphasize that Datsyuk isn't just God-given talent, but he is a hard worker and worked hard his whole career to develop his skills, and Healy went over the top to make that point.
When Datsyuk entered the league, I doubt too many people thought he was a future Selke candidate and winner. That was a result of his focus and work ethic.
