Iginla lives in Kelowna and has resided here for the past 7 years. His first house was on the Lake in upper Mission .They had too many uninvited guests who would drive their mini cigarette boats on to his property eager to introduce themselves as Igila,s life would be incomplete if he didn,t meet these noisy drun ken #######s. Two years ago the Iginlas started their new home on the east side of the Lake just north of McKinley Landing.It is now finished complete with a nice preventer wall. Iginla and his number one buddy Kobasew play golf at Predator Ridge .....green fees for you Calgarians up to 165 bucks. Last year there was an article in the local fishwrap re their talents on the golf course. Iginla with a 4point4 handicap index and Chuckie with a3point8.These guys are almost scratch golfers. I mentioned this to the Pro at my course and his response was.....They ought to be good cause they never make the playoffs.
There are 85 NHL players that now call Kelowna . Ken Hitchcock hangs around Chances Casino playing the horses on the off track. I met him last July .
