Change stupid to "lack of intelligence" if it makes you feel better!

I grew up in an atheist family and my dad told me there was no Santa Claus when I was 4. Despite some thinking that it may have ruined my childhood belief, it made me feel privileged to know. I appreciated the honesty just as what I now do debunks religions and what has become their man created god (or as you say a religious god). Looking deeper though, I do recognize god but it's a feeling like energy, not a separate being from my imagination or others imaginations.
Probably most have experienced this feeling and may go about trying to reenact it by setting up the same conditions but that can lead to a skewed view of the world by not understanding that the experience comes from within.
