I don't think so, personally. The Saddledome and Oval are easily still suitable for Olympic competition. Nakiska and the Canmore Nordic Centre as well. Canada Olympic Park would need upgrades in some areas - notably the ski jump and probably the bobsled track. Other than that, the obvious need would be a secondary hockey/figure skating venue as Father David Bauer is small and the Corral was obsolete in 1988, let alone 2013.
I think both of you have points. We wouldn't be starting from scratch, but there would be plenty of work to do nonetheless.
