Giving it back and lowering business taxes. I dont think Calgary is lacking for jobs, and businesses arent lacking customers so no reason to lower the business tax IMO.

Same goes for the residential tax. If you lower the residential tax, home values go up. Which means that a portion of the money returned to citizens will make its way to that dastardly Cal Wenzel. At least a business tax reduction benefits all businesses equally. We're not lacking residents... in fact, new residents are a fiscal burden on the city (though it's not their fault that we're not charging what we should for the new houses that support population growth).
