Sounds like there really isn't anything he is going to do for you. Unless there is some ligament/cartilage damage that can be repaired by surgery you are pretty much going to need to live with it. He may refer you to an orthopedic surgeon, and see what they have to say so get ready to wait for a while for that appointment and any tests the surgeon orders. Likely down the road you will need a joint replacement, but you're probably too young to qualify for that now.
