I cannot imagine the grief when my daughter's dogs pass - she got them a little more than a year after her accident, in the thick of the awfulness and as silly as it might sound to some, I know that there were days her dogs are what helped her get through some pretty awful times. She is their second owner - we privately adopted them, and they're getting up there in years - they're both 7 this year. They are her world and she is theirs.
