Detroit . .... Lidstrom .... best, smartest D-man that was un-hittable in the history of the NHL
Even with Lidstrom they lost to the Sharks (twice) and the Predators... (bigger teams) in the last 3 years.
They always have had big forwards that got a lot of ice time
Holstrom, Franzen, Cleary Bertuzzi, Samuelson, Hossa, Albdekader
Then some guys that were the same size as the bigger Flames forwards but played much bigger, Draper and Maltby
Big guys that are on the ice all the time.
On defense this year they have
Kronwal 6-0 195
Erricson 6-4 224
Smith 6-2 195
Quincey 6-2 207
Kindl 6-3 216
Lashoff 6-3 208
Only Kronwall who is as small as Brodie or Wideman no one as passive as Butler and Smith
Our toughest d-man Gio is 6-0 203... Sarich is 6-4 207 but not on the ice a whole lot........ until the Flames had their lose Mackinnon surge.
