You know, the only way to get over the Russian stigma is to get Russian players in the system. Can't run and hide from a certain type of player the entire existence of your franchise because of a couple other players who set a bad example. I also feel the whole money thing has warrant but so does the fact that professional athletes are more driven to compete at the highest level in the world. To me it's a wash.
That said. I am like most people here who hope they take a high profile center before they take a winger. But I will not make a fuss if they take Nichushkin. In fact I will probably be over the moon with any of the high profile forwards that they pick with their top pick.
