Yom Kipper is literally translated the "Day of Kipper"; perhaps a slight emmendation to Yom P'ny Kipper; the "Day before Kipper", is in order. Erev-Kipper, or "Kipper's Eve" does not have the same ring to it, but it is perhaps even more syntactically appropriate.
On a side note:
• Are players on the Flames roster "pillars of the church", much like the apostles in Christiandom?
• If so, do they qualify for veneration?

Roster players are not "pillars". They have their own following and it must remain that way in the case they are excommunicated to another region. Of course if they are excommunicated, a quick veneration of that player may happen upon his return to battle against his former mates.
