It has been confirmed that it is coming back today. There are changes though. It will be 12 episodes instead of 24, and be called 24: Live Another Die. It will still go chronologically, but just skip time.
I liked the original 24 format where you got every minute, but that made some episodes dull and boring as well. This new format will make it a lot tighter and hopefully better than it already was.
Comes out in May 2014. So another year away.
