I think he's actually a better fit for a third/fourth line on the team to provide energy than most of these guys, but I can't see how he goes

I agree Duchene should be used as a third/forth line guy since he is so incredibly tenacious with the puck. Nothing really says a center in the NHL has to play center at the Olympics. Take Stamkos at the worlds, looks just fine on the wing.
That said I would take him over Getzlaf and Staal, however both will be on the team for various reasons but I go back to the point that the team can and likely should have more than 4 natural centers.
Then again I've always been far more fond of building a team based on rolls rather than raw talent like team Canada has always done. I would rather bring a less skilled energy player/grinder (within reason of course) to play that roll then a more skilled sniper that has questionable defensive ability. Granted we are talking Duchene here so it's not like the "grinder" is some bum. Far too early to say anything for certain but Duchene is close to a lock for my team imo.
