I should like to suggest a theological shift in the service of grammatical correctness, and to ensure that the Hassidic Jews do not mount a lawsuit (or a Holy War). Yom Kipper is literally translated the "Day of Kipper"; perhaps a slight emmendation to Yom P'ny Kipper; the "Day before Kipper", is in order. Erev-Kipper, or "Kipper's Eve" does not have the same ring to it, but it is perhaps even more syntactically appropriate.
On a side note:
• Are players on the Flames roster "pillars of the church", much like the apostles in Christiandom?
• If so, do they qualify for veneration?
