Awesome results for the most part; I actually can't beat The X-Files beat the Game of Thrones runaway train. I've been watching X-Files again the last few weeks, and it still is as good as ever. I gotta disagree with Nik when he says it doesn't hold up, as it most definitely does. It simply works on every aspect, whether it be action, sci-fi, horror, comedy, or drama. Sure the effects might be a tad dated, but that only plays a factor in so many episodes.
Game of Thrones might have the best first couple years compared to every show I think, but you can't rank it yet among the all-time greats. I think a big determing factor is how they incorporate the more mystical elements in like the dragons and White Walkers, as who really knows how well they will be worked in to the show.
Sucks to see The Wire go down though, especially when Dexter only had a couple great seasons, but obviously you can account that to viewership of each show.
Here's hoping the finals will be
The X-Files
Breaking Bad
Seinfeld
The Simpsons
Well whatdya know, I'd actually consider those to likely be my two favorite dramas and two favorite comedies of all-time. The Wire would be right there as well, but Breaking Bad should surpass it once the final season commences.
Good stuff CP!
Sucks that Fox won't allow quality clips from The X-Files, but I forgot how awesome this episode is for example.
Here's their panel from this years Calgary Expo for those interested.
