It's pretty easy for the English to leave England, Europe is a bus ride away. It's a much bigger trip for Americans to travel overseas. Heck, for much of America a trip to Mexico or Canada is a pretty long journey. Americans probably travel a similar amount as any other population, but they likely travel more domestically than others. It's kind of hard to blame them really, I mean look at the lists of people on here. Most of them feature a number of states with obvious draws, when all of those places are in your backyard it's much easier to stay home than travel abroad.
