I expect it would take Luo + significant value in a trade that got back nearly the same money in a cap hit when you consider the cap is going down and most teams will be looking to shed salary. Something like Luo + a pick(s) or decent prospect (do the Canucks have any left to dangle?) for a player(s) with a decent to bad contract coming back.

Again with all the UFA, RFA and 1-2 year rental goalies available and the cap coming down, I can't see many teams wanting to tie themselves to such a long contract. The only other solution would be a buy out and that... that might be a tough pill to swallow.
They may not have a choice. They're already at next year's salary cap with only 17 players signed.
