I think the Panthers would look hard at that deal. Sven has elite potential in my view - I wouldn't do that deal any day of the week.
The Flames need more than one guy to build around. They need to add to Sven, not trade him for a single guy.
Mackinnon isn't a generational talent or anything - he could be the best player in the draft, but will the gap between him and a guy like Lindholm be worth gutting your organization to get him?
