I do love Sven, though, and I hope he develops into a better player than those you've mentioned, but I certainly don't anticipate it.

I agree that they are better players at this point in their career. But as far as offensive potential goes I think his is higher than Hall's. I think he is more competitive than RNH, Yakupov could be the next Bure but i don't want to build a team around a russian (it never seems to work). My point is simply that why would we trade a kid who has can be argued to be as effective a player as past number ones, along with a pick #6 (who would usually go 3 or 4 in most drafts) for another kid that will probably only be slightly better then Sven anyways. If Sean Monahon falls i hear the kid is like a toews, 6'2'' hits; wins faceoffs; scores.. or nichuskin who some say could be the best NHL talent in the draft.
Doesn't make sense to trade 2 bluechips for one stud.. not with the amount of help this franchise needs.
