So because airfare is so cheap now that any fat, middle-aged woman with sweat pants and six children dangling off of her teats can fly, it's to be considered a glorified bus? Sorry man, but nowhere in the history of aviation did an airplane become a glorified bus. It's still a relatively unexplored and unfamiliar realm for the human species and recent accidents like Air France 447, Colgan Air in Buffalo, or the Lokomotiv disaster should demonstrate that complete safety's still very much a work in progress for the airline industry. But by all means, don't give the safe airlines and incredibly-engineered machines that you're dealing with "too much credit", because it's movie time!
