For this we need to think outside the box. We join the KHL with special dispensation to keep our $64M cap. Than we draft MacKinnon and sign him for $5 or 6 M. Florida can't match and a few years later when the KHL is absorbed by the NHL we get to keep MacKinnon and maybe McDavid as well.
