Great day for the Flames. We get to see the Canucks fail again in glorious fashion and what is even better, we potentially benefit from it!!

Getting swept does nothing to help their draft position.

^ Nailed it.
The Draft Order goes as follows:
30th = Stanley Cup Champion
29th = Cup finalist
27-28 = Conference Finalists (in order of standings position)
22/23/24-26 = Division Leaders (Canucks and Pens are in this group)
15-21/22/23 = Non-Division Leader Playoff teams (Blues are in this group)
1-14 = Non-playoff teams
With the Canucks being the first division leader to miss the conference finals they are the first team to potentially help the Flames get a better draft position with the Blues pick, which is what really matters here, right?!?
Hopefully the Kings, Sens and Wings can help us out here. I am also hoping for the Rangers to rally back... not much hope for the Wild though.
