A 2 or 3 year contract is a big commitment, but I have enough Fido dollars to get any phone for free with a contract like that, so that is what I will be doing.

If you do not want to go on a contract, and you have fido dollars, buy a Nexus 4 outright from fido (i think it's around $420 or so) or you can order it from google plaly for $390 after taxes and shipping for a 16gb. The good thing with Nexus 4 is that it is not locked to any carrier, and it will get the latest android updates faster than any other android phones.
