Goalies just aren't worth a lot in trades. And this whole idea of avoiding a rebuild is something of a myth. There are simply too many ageing players and too many NTCs on the team to side-step the inevitable. I might agree if there were currently some players already in the system, but the Canucks' prospect base needs to be built from near-scratch.
