I'm race director for a half marathon event.
Lately I'm getting various attempts by alleged super Kenyans looking for free airfare/accommodation so they can run my event.
The first three were terrible, obvious frauds. The last one actually looked legit. There actually is such a person and he would win our race by TEN minutes over the winner last year, who ran a 1:14. In fact, he's so good I'm wondering why he's bothering with me, suggesting someone has purloined a legit runners profile for fraudulent purposes.
