He was drafted 2nd overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the first round of the 2009 CFL Draft. He played CIS football for the Laval Rouge et Or. He was a two time Vanier Cup champion with Laval.

Head coach/GM John Hufnagel says: “He is a little injured at this time and won’t be ready for training camp. We’re hoping he can be there for the first regular season game, possibly even the last pre-season game. But with losing Brian Bulcke over the off-season and really not being able to fill that need in the draft today, we thought it would be a great acquisition for us. Now we just need him to get healthy.”
