I don't think the Sedins together will return a top-five pick this year:
· They're not going to Colorado, who looks to be amassing young talent, and who will almost certainly draft Jones.
· Florida, Carolina, and Nashville all likely do not have the budget to add $12.0 m in salary, even for just one year.
· TB is close to the cap, and Vancouver would need to take LeCavalier back in a deal, which isn't happening.
I think that Edmonton's #7 pick could actually make some sense: They could be a cap team, and are in desperate need of offense. There is a bit of cap space, although I suspect that Vancouver would need to take someone back. MacTavish has positioned himself to make a big splash, and will likely attempt something desperate to get this awful team into the playoffs next year. Adding the Sedins
might do it.
