There were rumors of armed revolt if Obama didn't win.
Also, there were reports from African-American Romney supporters having their cars keyed, property destroyed etc. I don't know how much of that happened acrossthe country but locally it was a problem. It didn't get much press.

Anything south of Orlando is not "the South". It is South New York. Or North Cuba.

In the course of delivering mail I talk to all kinds of people. When they talk politics, I tell them I am an independent willing to listen to both sides, and that is true. Soooo many people admit that they are actually afraid to speak out against Obama. Of course, that's not a scientific sample , but it's odd. Maybe some are Birthers or whatever. Most just feel like they have no idea what's really going on, and have no trustworthy way of finding out. Republican-generated hysteria? I don't know.

As I said, I'm Independent and can only speak of what I saw and experienced locally. The Obama supporters were far more hostile, frightening and threatening than any bunch of Republicans I saw.
