As far as I'm concerned Glencross lost the privelidge of even having an A on his jersey when he didnt defend Backlund after he was cheap shotted by Bieksa. Glencross was right there and he just skated away, didn't have his teammates back.
Conversely, Glencross gets cheap shotted by Lovejoy and Backlund comes to his defence and eats a knuckle sandwich.
Backlund is more deserving of the Captain C than Glencross.
It's players like Glencross who are at the core of the problem culture with this team. Established, lazy, and selfish veterans who lack motivation and don't care about his teammates.

While I actually agree that Glencross shouldn't be captain, the flawed logic and very specifically small sample size of your reasoning is faulty. Glencross shouldn't be captain because his effort is inconsistent (although getting better) and he's often undisciplined. the fact you can sight one example when Glencross didn't "fight" someone because they hit another player is ridiculous. Pretty sure we can find a few of examples if we look hard enough when Iggy didn't go after someone when they cheap shorted someone and he was a fine captain for many years.
