The more direct 'negative' comparable to Brossoit is Matt Keetley. Drafted in the 5th round, Keetley went on to be mvp of the WHL playoffs and won the award for top goalie at the Mem cup, though not winning the tournament itself. I believe that was the second season after being drafted, being this season for Brossoit.
Obviously, Keetley didn't amount to much as a pro, but the two career trajectories are quite similar right now between he and Brossoit. As Enoch indicated, the question of becoming a good NHL goalie is much to do with opportunity. At this point, Brossoit is very much a 'legitimate prospect'.

Keetley had his success as a 20 year old though didn't he?
Brossoit went to the Memorial Cup as an 18 year old and back to the WHL finals as a 19 year old.
