If by chance we move up to tampa's pick and mackinnon is there and or barkov falls, those could be best case scenario, but i think the event that we stay put we go this way. The picks need to be kept. We have a chance to change our prospect pool's depth in a serious way and need to have 'em count. I think with the 6th we should stay put and draft Monohan. He's an Eric Stall type at 6. At the STL pick, go LA, we should try to target Lazar, Horvat, maybe Nichushkin if he falls, Domi. For the Pitt pick, I think we should try to take a defender like Santini from the USNDP. I like his size, simple game, defensive style, right handed shot.

I really think Max Domi, will become a better version of Marchand that could be a top line winger and, or, a second line center. His skills are so tantalizing, and he is quite stout. 5'9 195 lbs. I think he could be John Gaudreau but with oomph.

FGauthier could be intriguing with our Pitt pick. He moves well for a big man and plays the game with enthusiasm unlike Mantha. Plus he could bring some needed size to our prospect pool in C spot. I believe he plays better next year after his disappointing return from injury.

Perhaps if we trade a player or two, we could finagle another 1st or the assets to get another top 10 pick. I think if we could get both Mono and Nurse we'd be in real good shape. Both bring size and potential for top line play at their respective positions. Last player we had like that was 'neuf.
