Does it ever cross some of your minds as to why the Flames are actually really good at keeping the players they want moving forward? Why is it that the Flames can keep the likes of Iginla, Tanguay, Glencross and have players like Cammalleri willing to waive their NTC to come here, while teams like Montreal, Florida, Phoenix and Dallas always seem to have roster turnover. It's because of moves like this.
You may question the choices that the team has made in retaining certain players and the salary given to them, which is fair. Moves like this, however, are a good thing in my mind.
