Yeah, but upper management gets fired when they fail to deliver results.
So if King isn't being fired because the team is doing well financially, then I'm not sure he should be involved in hockey operations.
Fact is, he's very involved in hockey operations, as he should be - he's the president of it. However, he should have to face the same consequences that the rest of the organization does when they continue fail over and over and over again though. He should not be immune. The hockey operations part of the Calgary Flames - from management, to coaches to players - have all paid for their continued failures...except King. He has yet to lose his job, while so many around him continue to.
