The thing about running an NHL hockey is that most, if not all, the information is out there to see as the draft, trade and FA are all not only reported by the team but reported and analyzed by multiple media outlets as well.
Throw in how much Feaster likes to run his mouth and make statements it is pretty easy to get an understanding of his thinking and see the horrible moves he has made.

Yeah, if anything Flames fans should have the best idea of what goes on in their GM's head because of how vocal he is in the media. Especially so in cases where moves didn't actually go down (Brad Richards, Ryan Smyth, Ryan O'Reilly, etc.) We know basically the exact contract that was offered to Brad Richards, a free agent who signed with another team - that's a luxury almost every other team's fanbase doesn't get.
