I didn't think about that until now; a pretty astute observation. I felt the same way about the Flames in 06 when they dropped the game 7 to Anaheim. It's not just about the team losing confidence, it's about the team demonstrating for all to see that they don't have that extra gear or ability to win the important series. The Canucks are now 2 wins in the last 11 playoff games; this is a team built to win in the regular season off dramatic simulation and diving and cashing in on the PP. They win in the regular season because it's softer, buttery like popcorn compared to the playoffs. They lack the integrity and character of a true winner. Other teams have guys like Crosby who will battle; Giroux; Richards; players who would propel themselves through a plate glass window for the cup. The only thing Burrows would propel himself into to win is a full out tail spin dive.
