I do think it would make a bit of a difference, I'm sure the Flames would have cheaper tickets if they build the new arena in the north end of Airdrie. Regardless, it hasn't had an impact on how many games I attend but with more convenient access via transit to everyone in the city (Le Breton) I imagine there would be higher demand to actually go to the game, in addition more people would probably buy booze if they had better transit options to get to the game rather than having to resort to driving. Obviously though, a new arena is a non-starter for at least a couple more decades. They are working on making improvements to the Queensway in that area, particularly for transit vehicles, that should make going to the game less of a PITA (getting out of that parking lot the way it is is a nightmare)
