Kipper stays and Joey Mac stays as a backup. Brossoit and Berra in the AHL, Ortio in Utah and Ramo stays in KHL for another season. Leland Irving is done with the Flames.
Flames will probably buy out Cory Sarich. They will also say goodbye to Babchuk. Mark Giordano, TJ Brodie, Dennis Wideman, Mark Cundari, Smith, Butler and one of the AHL D will be the 7th D.
I think Cammy, Horak, Tangs
Glencross, Stajan, Reinhart
Hudler, Backlund and Baertschi
Jackman-Begin(??? maybe)-McGratton/Bouma
I got the feeling the Flames will let Cervenka walk. I am not even sure Hartley likes him as he never really tried him on his natural position(centre) and he was a healthy scratch for most of the games. Hanowski was okay but I am not sure he is ready for the NHL. He looks a bit lost at times. Need a good seasoning in the AHL and might be a late callup. Akim Aliu was very inconsistent in games he played. Not sure he unseated Jackman or Bouma yet. Only reason I will see him in the NHL early in the season is if he plays exceptional in the pre-season or Flames release or trade Jackman or Bouma. Paul Byron still hasn't shown he belongs in the NHL. He was pretty good early then he got injured and did not recover from it.
With the Flames 6th pick overall, whoever they drafted might play a few games early in the season but he will be send back to junior right away.
