Things didnt change around here either because Iggy didnt want them to or because he didnt actively attempt to change things.
I'm coming to the feeling that a big problem with the Calgary Flames was Jarome Iginla. And maybe not actively, and it may not have been his fault, but its there none the less.
Things didnt change around here because people were too passive about upsetting Iggy, or systems didnt change because Iggy didnt want to adapt, players came in and went out because Iggy wanted it.
Iggy became bigger than the Calgary Flames and everyone suffered because of it.
Again, this may not have been his fault, I sincerely doubt most of it was, but it still happened.

Meh, it was Darryl's fault for not getting any support up front, but rather kept on getting big slow D-men (aka, Warrener) and defensive 2nd and 3rd rate forwards to plug into the first line with Iggy. Then he got his bro in town and that bloody boring crap of a system worked to get 10th place every season. If you don't call that ball and chains for a guy who's basically a superstar besides Kipper in net, I don't know what you call it. Right now, in Pittsburg, Iggy is on the second line, no chip on his shoulders. Cripes it does feel good at work if you didn't have the world on your shoulders every single work day! Go check out Office Space and you'll know what I mean.
