I think the Oilers gave tanking a bad name/reputation. Feaster and ownership seem legitimately scared of following in the Oilers footsteps in which they will bottom-out for an extended period of time. Tanking for one or two years if fine, but when you have a culture of losing like they do in Edmonton, it takes a lot to turn that type of situation around.
I too wish we were picking in the #3 spot, but all those prospects that were here during the final stretch can't feel that losing is acceptable, and perhaps preferable like you might hear elsewhere.
