Things didnt change around here either because Iggy didnt want them to or because he didnt actively attempt to change things.
I'm coming to the feeling that a big problem with the Calgary Flames was Jarome Iginla. And maybe not actively, and it may not have been his fault, but its there none the less.
Things didnt change around here because people were too passive about upsetting Iggy, or systems didnt change because Iggy didnt want to adapt, players came in and went out because Iggy wanted it.
Iggy became bigger than the Calgary Flames and everyone suffered because of it.
Again, this may not have been his fault, I sincerely doubt most of it was, but it still happened.

This is how I feel as well. Iginla simply had to move on for the Flames to change. No disrespect to Iginla but deep down I am glad he is gone.
I hope he does well in Pittsburgh and I would love to see him sign an extension there. Would really love to see what he could do with an elite center. But as much as I want him to do well I really would love to see Sutter and Regehr win this year as well. I think Sutter is one hell of a coach and would love to see Regehr step his game up one last time.
