I know nothing about either player, but if the reports are true I say Monahan.

The reports seem to be fitting criteria of a center that the Flames need:

1) Large frame-Check
2) Offensive talent-Check
3) High hockey IQ-Check
4) Can shut down other team's best players-Check

The only thing I don't know is if he has good speed, good hands, and a good shot as these seem to be the things that would determine whether he is a 1st line center or more of a 2nd/3rd line center. As well, I want to know what his work ethic is like. Is he a Baertschi type of player or is he more of a Tanguay.

Lindholm would be more of a bonafide top line guy, but may not have the defense or intelligence to be a dominant NHL player. But I've never seen him play, so I'm not sure if he is the real deal or not.

I would honestly be happy with either player.

EDIT: forgot to add that Monahan is a beast on face-offs...something we sorely need.
