Focus will be too small.
I bought a Fusion in May 2010 and I absolutely love my car. Have had absolutely zero issues with it so far. It's all been basic/scheduled maintenance. It does pretty well on fuel, and have had no complaints there at all.
If you're going to be doing mainly city driving, have you thought about the Fusion Hybrid? The 2013s also have the new makeover. Great looking car. Almost makes me want to trade this one in for the '13, lol.
