No to both for me. Having a President and GM who are not hocket first guys is not ideal for me. I am also a fan of bringing in a guy like Burke. It would have been way better if we had say John Davidson as President and Jim Nill as GM but Burke is still a guy that I am happy the Flames taking.
I do think Feaster has bought himself another year or so when the organization agreed to rebuild. That angers me because Jay said many times if ownership wanted to tear it down they could find another GM. Well Jay you traded our 2 highest paid players for picks and prospects and likely losing Kipper to retirement. This team is burnt to the ground right now.
Feaster also can't blame what he inherited as an excuse. He dumped contracts and had plenty of cap space to make the moves he wanted. While Hudler and Wideman played well he built a soft team that was horrible up the middle.
I would love for a new voice to lead this team back to the playoffs not letting the guy who couldn't do what he said he could do, and now doing what he said he never would lead this organization
