49ers took chances on a number of value picks. If you were a highly touted talent and required knee surgery in the past 12 months, the 49ers would pick you.
But that is the benefit of having a relatively solid returning roster. Those players aren't expected to come in a contribute immediately. They are being told they are expected to rehab to get to 100%

On another note, undrafted free agent Lawrence Okoye was signed by the 49ers, and he has never taken a snap on the football field in his life.

There was a bit of discussion that since he shares the same last name as The Nigerian Nightmare, he will need a nickname too. I saw "The British Beast"
