The decision, according to left winger Alex Tanguay, belongs to Kiprusoff and Kiprusoff alone.

We would sure like to have him back, but I think your mind needs to be in the right place.”
Tanguay witnessed a similar transition in Colorado with one of the best goaltenders in the history of the game, Patrick Roy.
“I was with Patrick when Patrick retired,” he told reporters. “His mind was just ready to go and do something else.
“If Miikka’s mind is to play hockey, we’ve seen what he can do the last couple of games. If his mind is to do something else, then I’m sure he’ll let you guys know before anybody else.”
