Baertschi talks about what it will take for him to become the next face of the franchise:

"Some day, I really want to be there,” Baertschi said Sunday without a hit of bravado. “I want to be that guy who is the face of the franchise. I want to be that guy.”

“I understand now that it takes a lot,” Baertschi said. “And talking to a guy like Jarome, sitting beside him in the locker-room, I have a lot of respect for that guy.

“If you watch him doing certain things, he’s the best pro on this team.”

“The way he handles things, after losses, it’s mostly his problem,” Baertschi told a crowd of reporters. “He’s got to talk to you guys.”

“You see that and how he handles everything,” Baertschi said. “He fights, and he just sticks ups for his teammates all the time. If you see a guy like him, you can learn a lot.”

“It’s a long way,” he conceded. “It’s going to take a lot. But I’m sure some day, somebody will be the new Jarome Iginla here.”
