Someone's opinion can be wrong. Especially when it is not based on information at all but instead a nebulous gut feeling. I could have a gut feeling that E. Staal is like Sami Pahlsson and I'd be dead wrong. Not sure why you are jumping to the defence of this poster and his terrible comparison based on nothing more than a feeling.
Does anybody who has seen both Monahan and McNeill think they are comparable or similar? I'd be shocked because they clearly are quite different prospects with dramatically different ceilings.

- Canadian
- Centre
- Surname beginning with M
- mock drafts that place him vaguely in the range of the Flames' pick
If there is a prospect that reminds me of Mark McNeil in the 1st round this year it is Frederick Gauthier. People drool over the size, but there are fears you could be drafting a career 4th liner. Same thing happened with Brendan Gaunce last year.
Monahan started the season as a lock to be a top 5 pick. Hockey IQ, face offs & team play are his main strengths. Could very well be NHL ready. I would love a prospect like that.

And Nurse. And Nichushkin. I even like Hunter Shinkaruk. I also love chatting about it on CP. Cannot stand it when people pick fights over nothing.
