That right there I why, if all else is equal, you don't take the Russian.
He is basically saying, I am a good player - too good for the AHL.
That may (or may not) be true, but what does not even occur to him is that maybe he needs to learn the NA
game.
Too many Russians (not all) are mercenaries that rely entirely on their skills and don't understand (or care) that it is a team game.
