I can understand location reasons (like yours I-Hate-Hulse), and cost for others. But when I see a wedding being hosted downtown at the Hyatt (mega-bux) with a family that can more than afford it I don't understand why they put the restriction on there.
Guess I'm floating into "gear grinder" territory on this.

For me it would have nothing to do with cost or location. It is the brides and to a lesser extend the grooms day, if I don't like kids, kids are not invited to my wedding is reason enough. Saying that, I would not be mad at someone who couldn't come because they have a newborn.
