yeah, especially Washington ... they had 3 picks twice and all 6 players are full-time NHL players. Ovechkin was a no-brainer, but getting all the others right isn't. Colorado did well in 98 too.
Of that list, I only see Edmonton and the Islanders that have done really poor ... Gagner is fine, but Plante seems like a bust and they traded Nash for a 2nd rounder three years later. As for the Islanders, Connolly and Pyatt have been fine players but they traded them both after a year or two for Michael Peca. Mezei was pretty meh and Kudroc was a bust.
